Several injured after gas cylinder explodes at a South B restaurant

The incident happened on Saturday at Frizzle Bites Restaurant located at the South B Shopping Centre a few minutes before 4 p.m.

The incident happened on Saturday at Frizzle Bites Restaurant located at the South B Shopping Centre a few minutes before 4 p.m.

The injured included some of the restaurant staff and a client.
The Hazina Police Station OCS Robert Mbui who spoke to The Eastleigh Voice confirmed the incident was as a result of a gas cylinder explosion at the restaurant.

Officers from the Anti-Terror Police Unit and bomb experts were called to the scene and sealed off the area.
The police also closed the road leading to the shopping centre and advised locals to avoid the area as they conducted further investigations into the incident.
Several vehicles which had been parked next to the restaurant were also damaged in the explosion.
